About Turtlepurl Yarns Studio

Turtlepurl Yarns has been hand-dyeing self-striping sock yarn for over 16 years. With more than 70 colourways, there's a perfect striping pattern for everyone!

Turtlepurl's Studio is located in a historic home built in 1851. What used to be a gathering room in the mid-1800s is now a yarn studio bursting with imagination, colour and inspiration!

  • Behind Turtlepurl

Emily and her family live in Atlantic Canada, nestled amongst the rolling hills of Hillsborough, New Brunswick.

At the age of 6, Emily learned how to knit, with much help and guidance from her Mom and Granny. Life has always been full of crafting and in the early 2000's, learning how to spin and dye fibre were next on the list!

When not crafting, Emily enjoys time with the family, hiking along the Fundy Coast and rock hunting amongst the coves. Music has also been a very big part of Emily's life, as you will see in many colourways!

A big thank you to Darlene! Otherwise known as Turtlepurl's part-time yarn angel!

  • Easy To Work With

Turtlepurl Yarns hand-dyed, self-striping sock yarn is already divided into two matching skeins!

This makes it so easy to achieve matching socks!

Simply start from the same colour on each skein and the rest is magic!
